This 19th-century, engraved nautical chart has charts for determining currents and tides at lower left.
Because these government coastal survey maps were issued on a thin, almost rice paper, they are virtually always found in delicate condition, with fold lines splitting, unframable basically.
This map has been archivally cleaned and expertly lined on the reverse, then beautifully and professionally hand colored for a beautiful effect. Quite rare in this fine condition.
In VG+ antiquarian condition, displaying some gentle inevitable and unavoidable minor age flaws which in no way detract.
Measures 20 1/2" W x 23 " H. Image measures 20" W x 21" H.
